Five actors portray the life of Joe, from his pre-teens to old age and beyond. Read More >

Joe is an ordinary guy; an everyman. His life follows a typical pattern, starting off with adolescent dreams of footballing glory which just don’t materialise and following on with a lifetime of bitterness and resentment at opportunities missed.

Joe is played by five different actors at five different stages of his life. Each has a series of monologues telling of his arrested development, punctuated with heart-rending yet comic songs.
