Something lurks in the cellar of a London pub in Lynne Plowman’s new operatic creation where things are never what they seem. Plowman’s score evokes ideas of music hall, World War I song and cabaret, while Martin Riley’s story throws together a sinister woman, a disillusioned war hero and the ultimate warrior.
