Football, corrupt news organisations and Durrenmatt's The Visit all intermingle in Georgia Fitch's Fit And Proper People. Read More >
Georgia Fitch’s play sees the Soho theatre transformed into a football stadium; complete with turf, floodlights and constant media coverage. We follow Casey as she returns home to sort out her football club. They’ve fallen into the Championship, and have some problems to solve. The solution is obviously money and Casey knows where to get it.
Inspired by Durrenmatt’s The Visit, real backstage football events and the tainted world of News International; Fit and Proper People exposes the backstage dealings that manufacture our national heroes, and addresses the very topical question of who is running our social and cultural institutions.
