Playing daytime performances throughout the summer, Dinosaur World Live encourages the whole family to grab their gear and join an intrepid expodition into the jurassic.
A new interactive show for ages 3+, Dinosaur World Live is an action-packed 50-minute show, written and directed by Derek Bond (Sweet Charity / Little Shop Of Horrors, Royal Exchange Manchester). Dare you experience all the dangers and delights that lie in store?
Grab your compass and join our intrepid explorer across unchartered territories to discover a pre-historic world of astonishing (and remarkably life-like) dinosaurs – including every child’s favourite flesh-eating giant, the Tyrannosaurus Rex. During your Jurassic adventures, you’ll also encounter the likes of a Triceratops (brand new for 2018!), a Giraffatitan, a Microraptor, and a Segnosaurus!
Guiding you through the island is paleontologist Miranda, who knows the dinosaurs like the back of her hand. She’s brought her prehistoric pals to the theatre to introduce them to you – but be warned that they might not all be as calm and docile as they seem! Audience members can even meet and greet the dinosaurs in person after the show.
Puppet design is by Max Humphries and puppet direction by Laura Cubitt who, with Dinosaur World Live puppet consultant Toby Olié, previously worked on the spectacular Running Wild at the Open Air Theatre. Dinosaur World Live’s set and costume design is by James Perkins, lighting design by John Maddox and sound design by Tom Mann.
Dinosaur World Live will embark on a UK tour that encompasses dates up and down the country, before arriving in London for a limited run at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. Dino-lovers are urged to book fast before tickets become extinct!
Educational and entertaining, if you’re looking for a fun day out with the kids, this is a summer adventure that the whole family won’t soon forget!
