Although teenagers Iqra and Muna take the same bus to school every day, they come from worlds apart, having never really spoken.

Whereas Muna wears TopShop and sits on the top deck gossiping about celebrities and fashion with friends, Iqra sits alone downstairs in her beaten charity shop hand-me-downs.

They were both born in Somalia but exist on entirely seperate planes. But as they get closer, they realise that their families share a painful secret.

Charlene James’ devastating new play Cuttin’ It tackles the urgent issue of FGM in Britain, revealing the horrific price that some girls pay to become women.

Winner of the George Devine Award for Most Promising Playwright and the Alfred Fagon Award for Best New Play, Cuttin’ It is also showing at the Young Vic Theatre in May-June 2016.

Age Guidance: 14+.
