Sarah Kane’s shocking tale of a night in a hotel room that takes a surprising and brutal turn.

The plot follows a middle-aged journalist who takes a twenty-something family friend to a hotel for the night. Following an unsuccessful stab at seduction, he gets more forceful about his desires. In the morning, however, proceedings take an unexpected turn when a soldier bursts into the room and things go from bad to worse.

Kane’s play explores the horrors of war, the fragility of peace and the fracturing of civilised society.

The production features fully integrated British Sign Language and Audio Description.
