What is The Official London Theatre New Year Sale?
Our Sale offers tickets to top London shows for performances during January and February. Previously named Get Into London Theatre, the New Year Sale is now in its 21st year and has firmly established its place on the London theatre calendar, getting bigger and better every year!
When does the promotion go on sale?
General booking opens at 10am on Tuesday 21 November with priority booking for Mastercard cardholders from Thursday 16 November via priceless.com.
How much do tickets cost?
Tickets cost £10, £20, £30, £40 or £50, depending on the show, and there are no booking fees to pay. Not every show offers tickets at every price point, or for every performance.
What performances are tickets valid for?
The New Year Sale encompasses selected performances from 1 January to 29 February 2024, subject to availability. There are a limited number of New Year Sale tickets and tickets may not be on sale for all performances during the sale period.
Which shows are in the promotion?
The participating shows will be announced on Tuesday 7 November. Sign up to be the first to know or follow us on social media.
How do I book?
Tickets can only be booked online via OfficialLondonTheatre.com/sale/. If you’re booking during the Mastercard Priority period, tickets must be booked through priceless.com. New Year Sale tickets cannot be booked at theatre box offices.
How do I make an Access booking?
If you, or someone you know, has access needs, you can complete our Access Priority Request Form outlining your access requirements. This form will go live on Friday 10 November at midday and close on Sunday 13 November at 6pm for Mastercard cardholders. For general booking the form with be live from Friday 17 November at midday to 6pm on Sunday 19 November.
You will then be contacted directly by the theatre’s Box Office on Thursday 16 November (Mastercard cardholders) and Tuesday 21 November (general on sale) to book your tickets. You can sign up for theatre access information and to receive the request form here.
Throughout the Sale, if you have access needs the most direct way of booking tickets is directly with the theatre as they know the venue best and can give you the best experience. The list of phone numbers and email addresses can all be found here once the promotion is live. When calling quote ‘Official London Theatre New Year Sale’ so they can give you the lowest price whether it be the sale price or the Access ticket price.
Can I pay with Theatre Tokens?
Yes, you can pay with Theatre Tokens online. Just follow the instructions on the payment page to redeem your tokens.
How will I get my ticket?
Your ticket will come as an e-ticket and will be emailed to you before the show. As long as you have received a confirmation email from your booking, don’t panic! Tickets may be emailed at different times and may not arrive until the day before your show. Make sure you’ve checked your spam folder if you’re having trouble locating your tickets. If you have not received your tickets the day before the performance, please visit our Customer Service page.
Can I take a child to the theatre?
It depends on the show. Some theatres and shows have strict age policies and don’t admit young children. We always recommend looking at the Age & Content Guide for shows on their individual listings page. Babes in arms are not allowed in almost all theatres.
Can I exchange my tickets or get a refund?
If you would like to exchange your tickets, please complete this change to booking request form. Please note that exchange and refund policies vary theatre to theatre, and we can only offer you an exchange if the theatre grants one.
Tickets will only be refunded if your performance has been cancelled.
Additional Information
- Customers can book for multiple shows but we reserve the right to investigate any suspicious bookings. Bookings can contain no more than 10 tickets per performance.
- The offer does not apply to tickets already booked and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
- Tickets are subject to availability for specific performances only and not all shows offer tickets at all price points.
- The list of participating shows will change throughout the promotion as some shows sell out and new shows join.
- Some shows do sell out quickly, so we recommend having a few shows in mind before you book, and to be flexible with your dates where possible.
