The world’s biggest celebration of musical theatre, West End LIVE in association with MasterCard, will this year take place on 20 and 21 June, returning to its home in London’s iconic Trafalgar Square.
Now in its 11th year, West End LIVE is a completely unique theatrical festival featuring performances from the West End’s world famous musicals and an exclusive line-up of appearances from some of the London stage’s favourite stars.
More than 500,000 theatre fans attended 2014’s West End LIVE, enjoying a packed weekend of performances from everyone from long-running musicals Wicked, Billy Elliot The Musical and Les Misérables to previews of high profile productions due to hit the West End and The Royal Opera House Chorus, conducted by the legendary Placido Domingo.
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, last summer’s event saw the addition of a stunning Spielgeltent in Leicester Square, the West End LIVE Theatre Emporium. Open for the entire weekend, it offered theatre fans the chance to try on incredible costumes, learn more about every stage of putting on a production in an exclusive theatre exhibition and attend In Conversation Q&As hosted by the Official London Theatre team with actors, directors and writers making some of the most exciting theatre in the world.
