Sunny Afternoon, this year’s Best New Musical Olivier Award winner, is one of the first shows confirmed to perform at 2015’s incredible West End LIVE with MasterCard.
The biggest live, musical theatre festival in the world once again returns to the stunning surroundings of Trafalgar Square on 20 and 21 June for a not-to-be-missed weekend of free performances from many of the West End’s best loved shows.
Kinks’ musical Sunny Afternoon is one of a selection of high profile productions that are amongst the first to confirm they will be live on stage to entertain theatre fans, with fellow new West End favourite and Olivier Award winner Beautiful – The Carole King Musical joining the line-up.
Long-running favourites Billy Elliot The Musical, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Jersey Boys, Mamma Mia! and Matilda The Musical will also be performing, as will this year’s This Morning Audience Award-winning show Wicked.
With just over six weeks until the show-stopping festival takes over one of London’s most iconic squares, the full line-up of productions which will be entertaining festivalgoers is set to be announced in the coming weeks as the countdown to the theatrical event of the summer officially begins.
Details about the return of 2014’s hugely popular Theatre Emporium in Leicester Square, housed in a stunning Spiegeltent, will also be confirmed shortly.
