“Joyful, heartfelt, quirky, full of life, full of talent”

That’s how we felt leaving Amélie The Musical at the Criterion Theatre last night.

Starring Olivier Award nominee, French-Canadian stage and screen star Audrey Brisson as Amélie Poulain, the sweet and quirky romance is all about an imaginative dreamer who finds her voice, discovers the power of connection and sees possibilities around every corner.

As the multi-award-winning show returns #BackOnStage to whisk away theatregoers to Amélie’s whimsical internal world, Jess and Eva from our Official London Theatre team went along to share their experience.

Soaking in the buzzy London vibes, they joined the socially distanced queue, ready to see the Olivier Award nominated musical with a whole bunch of other excited theatre fans, one of which came dressed in their very own handmade stagey jacket!

And the screen-to-stage adaption did not fail to please the crowds, ending with an immensely powerful curtain call.

You can fully expect there to be tears, happiness and so much dreaming in this heartwarming musical! Check out our stories from last night’s trip to Amélie The Musical below and be sure to grab your tickets to see this inspiring show. And don’t forget to tag us using #BackOnStage so that we can support and celebrate these special moments!
