After a decade’s firmly felt absence, it’s back: Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat‘s return to the West End is on the horizon. And it’ll star the wonderful double Olivier Award winner Sheridan Smith, it has been announced.
Yes, there’s star casting in the air for Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s seminal London musical, which is back and ready to delight many more thousands of theatregoers when it begins performances on Wednesday 26 June. After all, with a soundtrack that includes musical theatre classics like Jacob And Sons, There’s One More Angel In Heaven, and Go Go Go Joseph, Joseph truly is the stuff of dreams.
But there’s one particular number which everybody will know: Any Dream Will Do. Just the very mention of one of its lyrics (intended or otherwise) gets us “Ahhh, ahhhh”ing like a professional choir walking on hot coals. So just to make sure everybody’s ready to chime in, we’ve concocted this week’s Theatre Quiz: how well do you know Any Dream Will Do?
You’ve 2 minutes to complete the first half of the 4-minute song. Singing along definitely encouraged. It’s easy… or is it? (For some of you, yes, yes it will be!)
(And if you do find it too easy… then last week’s Theatre Quiz is sure to provide more of a challenge!)

Fancy another theatre quiz from our archives? Can you complete the song lyrics with abstract imagery? Can you take on Showstopper’s Improvised Musical challenge? Can you name which Six queen sang it, or complete our Theatre Quiz by numbers? And how well do you know Waitress? Can you complete our “Try Not To Sing Along” challenge (and its sequel)? How many Company lyrics can you complete?
Or how many London theatres, popular Phantom Of The Opera songs, Wicked songs, London theatre characters, inspirational musicals, movie-musicals, Les Misérables songs, Olivier Award-winning musicals, or longest-running West End productions of all-time, can you name?
