First Published 3 October 2017, Last Updated 27 April 2020

We still don’t know whodunnit – but we do know who’ll be amongst the suspects, with cast changes for Agatha Christie’s West End staple show, The Mousetrap, confirmed for next week.

Starring in the world’s longest-running production from Monday 9 October at St Martin’s Theatre, the cast who’ll keep us guessing for 9 performances each week are:

Sherry Baines as Mrs Boyle
Liam Jefford as Christopher Wren
George Evans as Detective-Sergeant Trotter
Benedick Blythe as Major Metcalf
Harriet Leitch as Miss Casewell
Jonathan Tafler as Mr Paravicini
Ed Pinker as Giles Ralston
Ellie Burrow as Mollie Ralston

with direction from Hugh Ross.

Agatha Christie’s classic thriller The Mousetrap opened in the West End’s Ambassadors Theatre on 25 November 1952, and moved next door to its current home in 1974.

In The Mousetrap, a group of people gather together in a remote part of the countryside – but soon discover there is a murderer in their midst. The question, of course, is which one of them is the guilty party…

The mystery of the killer’s identity is something of theatrical legend, having been the West End’s best-kept secret for over six decades; just remember to tip your taxi driver as you arrive…
