London opera takes place at the Royal Opera House

Royal Opera House launches free Live at Lunch scheme

Published 18 September 2018

No need to eat lunch at your desk this Friday – the Royal Opera House is inviting all Londoners to come and enjoy a free musical performance from 1pm to 1.45pm on Friday 21 September.

Royal Opera House Orchestra Cellist Liubov Ulybysheva will perform two cello sonatas by Frederick Delius and John Ireland, alongside pianist John Paul Elkins.

Live at Lunch is the first of a new programme of daytime events, activities and festivals for all ages following on from a three-year renovation of the building.

The Royal Opera House will now be open every day from 10am, when visitors can feel something new with regular ballet and opera performances, family festivals and workshops.

Live at Lunch will last 45 minutes and take place in the new Linbury Foyer at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden from 1pm to 1.45pm. The performance is free to attend and visitors don’t need a ticket.
