Fairytale character Jack looks set to scale new heights this Christmas, with the classic panto Jack And The Beanstalk given the full Lyric Hammersmith treatment of wonderful characters, singing and dancing, and some pretty funky street art. Check out the first prodution photos above.
Penned by Joel Horwood, who wrote last year’s smash-hit Lyric panto Aladdin, the show also sees comedian and actress Vikki Stone return to the venue to play the villainous Fleshcreep, in a show loaded with laughs.
Jack And The Beanstalk is co-directed by Artistic Director Sean Holmes and Jude Christian, an Artistic Associate of the Lyric. Daniel Fraser plays Jill, Kayla Meikle plays Daisy the Cow, Faith Omole plays Jack, Cherrelle Skeete plays Fairy Cucumber, and Kraig Thornber will play Dame Lotte Trottalot, while the ensemble is built up of six young performers, as part of the Lyric Hammersmith’s commitment to nurturing young talent.
With plenty of magic beans, a loveable cow, an enormous beanstalk, a gigantic giant and a massive adventure, this year’s panto looks set to be the biggest ever.
Jack And The Beanstalk plays at the Lyric Hammersmith until Saturday 6 January 2018, with press night on Saturday 25 November.
You can book your tickets via the Lyric Hammersmith website.
