As we start counting down the final days of 2018, we look forward to what’s to come in Theatreland over the next few months. In this week’s round-up, we tell you all the new musicals hitting the West End next year, and we have some breaking news for you, too.

That coat of many colours is finally making its way back to the West End because in June 2019, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will be playing at the London Palladium! Close your eyes, draw back the curtain, and read on.

2019 is going to be huge for musical theatre. We’ve not even bid farewell to the current year and 10 brilliant new musicals have already been announced. This list will make sure you don’t miss out on some of the hottest up-and-coming shows. Some are only around for a few days, so get clicking!

Betrayal tickets go on sale

A Golden Globe, an Olivier Award, a fanbase stretching into the millions, and a whole magnitude of talent. Tom Hiddleston has it all. And in news that’ll delight theatregoers far and wide, tickets are now available to see him lead the cast of Betrayal, the culmination of the Pinter at the Pinter season.

This week, the spectacular The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time returned to London after a two-year hiatus. Prior to the epic comeback, we got a sneak peek at the rehearsals which featured the new Christopher Boone, Joshua Jenkins, who’s making his West End debut.

Caroline Flack is Chicago’s new Roxie Hart

The reality TV host is finally fulfilling a life-long dream of starring as Roxie Hart in Chicago from 10 December until the show closes on 5 January. Caroline will be joining fellow reality TV star, RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Todrick Hall who recently took up the role of Billy Flynn.
