Further casting has been announced for City Of Angels at the Garrick Theatre! Divergent star Theo James and RSC actor Jonathan Slinger complete the principal cast of the award-winning musical, joining the previously announced Hadley Fraser (Les Mis), Rosalie Craig (Company), Rebecca Trehearn (Show Boat), Nicola Roberts (Girls Aloud) in her stage debut and Vanessa Williams (Ugly Betty) in her West End debut.
Theo will play Stone and Jonathan Slinger will play Buddy / Irwin.

“I’m thrilled that two more phenomenal actors have joined this wonderful company. I knew Theo was a terrific actor, but I had no idea he was also in possession of such an exceptional singing voice. He and Hadley Fraser will be dynamite playing opposite each other.
“Jonathan Slinger is one of our finest actors, and I’m so happy to be working with him at long last. I think he will bring a magnetic danger to the role of this Hollywood Mephistopheles, Buddy Fiddler.”
As part of Jim Carter’s In Conversation series, Kiln Theatre today announced that the Downtown Abbey star will next sit down with Dame Helen Mirren in a special one-off fundraising event next year. Dame Helen Mirren’s internationally renowned contribution to the arts has been recognised twice recently – in 2014 with a BAFTA Fellowship for her outstanding career in film and just last year with the Chaplin Gala career achievement recognition from The Film Society at Lincoln Center, New York.
The evening of conversation will take place on 16 February and all proceeds are in aid of Kiln Theatre, in supporting the work they do to continue to produce innovative art and make theatre accessible to the community.
