How to access the Olivier Awards 2024 Green Carpet

The Olivier Awards with Mastercard 2024 is fast approaching, but you can still be part of the action.

If you can make it to the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 14 April, you can experience the excitement of the day by joining the nominees, presenters, performers and hosts on the Green Carpet prior to the ceremony. There will be public viewing areas set up around the Green Carpet so you can catch a glimpse of the West End elite.

But to get involved, you can’t just rock up at show time. You’ll need a wristband to be admitted to one of the public viewing pens.

How to get a wristband

On Sunday 14 April, wristbands will be available from the wristband collection point which is at the red entrance on Prince Consort Road, SW7 2BA. Wristbands will be handed out from 11am on a first come first serve basis and you’ll have to put them on straight away. They will not be transferable – so don’t wait in line for somebody else! Make sure you look after your wristband, as if it becomes lost or damaged, there will be no automatic right of re-admission during the event.

Once you have your wristband, you’ll have a bit of time to kill before the viewing areas are loaded around 2.30pm. Security will be dressed in high-vis jackets so you can find them easily, and will help guide you in to the public viewing area. You will be security checked and bag searched on entry to the viewing area, and as there is limited space, please keep your belongings to a minimum.

Once in, you can just relax and watch all the stars make their way down the Green Carpet and into the Royal Albert Hall, ready for the day’s events.

It’s a great day filled with energy, anticipation and joy. For theatre lovers, it’s a must. And the best part? It’s absolutely free.

So don’t just wait until the evening to watch the show on TV. Be part of the action first. It’s unlike anything you’ll experience the rest of the year and it’s a great way to get pumped for the ceremony which will be screened in the evening on ITV.
