“I also can’t wait to dive back into it with seven of our original London cast members reprising their thrilling performances for New York audiences. The adventure continues…”
Harry Potter And The Cursed Child has garnered 22 major theatre awards in the UK, having earlier this year become the most awarded production in the history of the Olivier Awards with Mastercard, claiming a record-breaking nine awards earlier this year including Best New Play and Best Director.
The show centres on an adult Harry Potter in his eighth story, a continuation of the world-conquering book series. Things are much easier for him now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter And The Cursed Child is a new play by Jack Thorne, directed by John Tiffany. The production is one play presented in two parts, with both parts intended to be seen in order on the same day (matinee and evening) or on two consecutive evenings.
Tickets for the Broadway production of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child will go on sale October 12 via Ticketmaster Verified Fan®, following a required registration period between October 1 – October 5.
