Ghost The Musical has announced Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans will lead the cast of the Piccadilly theatre production from 13 January.

Dillon and Evans will play Molly and Sam in Matthew Warchus’s musical, taking over from Caissie Levy and Richard Fleeshman who originated the roles when the production opened in June.

Dillon is currently starring in new musical Ex at the Soho theatre. The actress made her West End debut at the Piccadilly theatre in Grease after entering the public eye in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s first television reality show, How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? Dillon later appeared as Vivienne in Legally Blonde The Musical.

Her forthcoming co-star Evans has been playing Fiyero in hit musical Wicked since February. The Welsh actor’s other theatre credits include High School Musical and UK tours of Oklahoma! and The Rocky Horror Show, as well as screen appearances in Lake Placid 3 and Dead Hungry.

Dillon and Evans will join current cast members Sharon D Clarke and Andrew Langtree in the stage adaptation of the Academy Award-winning film. The tear-jerker romance tells the story of Sam who, after being tragically killed, must find a way to communicate with his girlfriend Molly to save her from his murderer.

Ghost The Musical, which features music by Eurythmics musician Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, is currently booking until 13 October 2012.
