The returning West End production of Mary Poppins has announced two magical new cast members! Musical legend Petula Clark and stage star Joseph Millson are soaring into the cast of the hit musical (presumably by means of flying umbrella), joining Zizi Strallen in the title role and Charlie Stemp as Bert.

Petula, whose famous career has spanned eight decades and seen her sell over 70 million records, will play the Bird Woman. And Joseph, whose extensive stage and screen career has seen him star in the likes of Apologia (Trafalgar Studios), The Rover (RSC – a UK Theatre Award-winning performance), Love Never Dies (West End), Casino Royale and Holby City, will play the lovable George Banks.

Since opening at London’s Prince Edward Theatre 15 years ago, Cameron Mackintosh and Disney’s staging of Mary Poppins has charmed audiences around the world. And this October, it’s returning to its original London home.

Adapted from PL Travers’ stories, Mary Poppins tells the magical story of the world’s favourite Nanny, arriving on Cherry Tree Lane to restore order to the Banks family. Expect dazzling choreography, incredible effects and unforgettable songs.

And with a star-studded cast led by Zizi (returning to the role of Mary Poppins, which she’s played to great acclaim on tour) and Charlie (Snow White, Hello Dolly!, Dick Whittington and Half A Sixpence), you can expect a wonderful evening for the whole family as you learn to Step In Time, Feed The Birds, and say “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”!

Performances begin on 23 October, booking until 29 March 2020.
