Cast reunite for Bush’s Pink Mist

Published 22 December 2015

Phil Dunster, Peter Edwards, Rebecca Hamilton, Zara Ramm and Alex Stedman will reprise their roles in the critically acclaimed drama Pink Mist when it makes its London premiere at the Bush Theatre next month.

The five young emerging actors will be joined by company newcomer Rebecca Killick for the Bush Theatre run of Owen Sheers’ poignant poetic piece about three young Bristol soldiers returning from a tour in Afghanistan.

Sheers wrote the piece following interviews with 30 serviceman about the impact of returning to their normal lives after the physical and psychological repercussions of living and working in a war zone. The play premiered at the Bristol Old Vic earlier this year, earning rave reviews for its moving and affecting combination of Sheers’ haunting verse and dynamic movement devised by co-directors John Retallack and George Mann.

Half of the cast – Dunster, Edwards and Hamilton – are all recent graduates of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and will make their London debuts in the Bush Theatre transfer.

Fellow original cast members Ramm (Saigon Rose: The Case Of Rebellious Susan, Orange Tree Theatre) and Stedman (Boom, Bush Theatre) make their London returns in the production, alongside War Horse’s Killick.

The drama will play at the Bush Theatre from 21 January to 13 February following the Shepherds Bush’s venue’s current drama, Forget Me Not, which concludes its run on 16 January.
