Love Your Local Theatre

A black and white image of an audience with text in front that reads #LOVE YOUR LOCAL THEATRE

Ahead of the Olivier Awards 2026 with Cunard in April, we want to celebrate the vital role of theatres all across the UK with the launch of our Love Your Local Theatre campaign.

As part of the campaign, we invite you – the audience – to share what your local theatre means to you. Every post that’s shared using the hashtag #LoveYourLocalTheatre will be entered into a prize draw to win two tickets to the Olivier Awards 2026 with Cunard, a two-night stay at The May Fair Hotel and £500 in Theatre Tokens.

To enter simply post on social media with a video, image or graphic using #LoveYourLocalTheatre by 11.59pm on Thursday 5 March.

As the Olivier Awards approaches its 50th anniversary in April, the Love Your Local Theatre campaign will see past winners and nominees recognise the local venues that first inspired them and nurtered their talent. Theatres across the UK are instrumental in developing world-class talent both on and off stage.

Local theatres across the UK enrich British culture and sustain the theatre ecosystem. My own journey began with Birmingham Youth Theatre at the Midland Arts Centre and Birmingham Rep, which gave me opportunities that shaped the course of my career.

These, and many venues across the UK, continue to do the same for generations of artists today
