From the writers of The Gruffalo and Room On The Broom comes the much-loved story Zog, an accident-prone dragon who wants to become the best student in dragon school.

Based on the best-selling book by author and illustrator duo Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, and brought to the stage by the creative team behind Tiddler And Other Terrific Tales and Tabby McTat, Zog is roaring fun for all ages.

Zog is a student at Madam Dragon’s school, where dragons learn everything important for dragons to know. But Zog’s a little bigger than the other dragons – and a little keener, too. He tries so hard to win a gold star – perhaps too hard – and ends up bumping, burning and roaring his way through his time at school.

But the biggest test is yet to come for Zog, when the plucky Princess Pearl gets him ready to take on his biggest challenge yet – a duel with Gadabout the Great!

This magical adaptation of the beloved story is accompanied by a joyful folk score by actor and musician Johnny Flynn (recently in True West opposite Kit Harrington), with live musicians. Directed by Mike Shepherd – the founder and Artistic Director of Kneehigh – Zog and his world spring to life from page to stage, creating a real and fantastical world sure to mesmerise children and parents alike.

Energy bursts throughout this fantastic family show, which is a true delight from start to finish.
