Audiences are invited to participate in the politics of fashion in this thought-provoking investigation of fast fashion directed by Zoë Svendsen at the Young Vic.

Delving into the murky history and contemporary reality of the garment industry, World Factory provokes a conversation about consumer capitalism and ethical trade in relation to China.

Audiences become factory managers, calling the shots on profits, products and workers, and are asked to decide for themselves what success means.

Real life accounts of the world of mass production here and abroad are interwoven with Simon Daw’s video and set designs, a moving score, and a fusion of theatre and card game.

Unlike film, theatre doesn't have an official age classification organisation. That means all age recommendations are subjective and should be treated as guidelines unless otherwise stated. With this in mind, we ask you to use your judgement in regards to a show’s suitability prior to purchase. However, we are more than happy to help you make a decision.
