Michael Boyd’s RSC production of Shakespeare’s identical twin confusion comedy opens the renamed Novello theatre.

Identical twins, Viola and Sebastian, are shipwrecked far away from home. Believing each other to be dead, they embark on separate lives. Viola disguises herself as a boy and joins the court of Duke Orsino, who is courting Olivia. Olivia falls in love with the disguised Viola, while Viola herself is head-over-heels for Orsino. As if all this were not complicated enough, the very alive Sebastian then appears, confusing everyone even more.
