Verdi’s tragic love story is supplanted from Paris to Dublin in Conall Morrison’s new staging.

Violetta is a courtesan affected by consumption. When she meets Alfredo her dreams of a redeemer seem to have come true, but his father steps in to stop their relationship hindering the life of Alfredo’s sister. Violetta departs without giving Alfredo the true reason, leaving him with nothing but dreams of revenge.
