About the Show Less...

A twisted love story set in a compost heap.

In a foreign land, two lovers lie together under a plastic sheet. They’re not sleeping and they’re not breathing, yet death certainly is not peaceful.

Written by exciting German playwright Kerstin Specht and translated by Rachael McGill, The Time Of The Tortoise takes a darkly comic look at a political system that abandons lost lives without question. Asylum, poverty and love also come under the microscope in this often shocking piece.
