The Wonderful World Of Captain Beaky And His Band is a one-off evening of poems, musical interludes and performances, with many special guests.

Captain Beaky And His Band is the title of two albums of poetry by Jeremy Lloyd, set to music by Jim Parker and recited by British celebrities. First released in 1977, a generation of children and parents enjoyed the stories of Timid Toad, Reckless Rat, Artful Owl and Batty Bat.

In this one-off event in aid of UNICEF the poems are retold by celebrities including Duncan Bannatyne, Joanna Lumley, Miranda Raison, Vanessa Redgrave and Jeremy Lloyd himself. The evening is hosted by Roger Moore and features the National Youth Ballet, West End Chorus and The Captain Beaky Ensemble.
