Florian Zeller augments his recent phenomenal success in London through his biting comedy The Truth, transferring to the West End for a limited run following critical acclaim at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

Directed by Lindsay Posner, acclaimed Molière Award-winning playwright Zeller’s The Truth invokes unforeseen consequences upon a businessman who succumbs to extramarital temptation.

When businessman Michel has an affair with doctor Alice, who in turn is married to Michel’s best friend Paul, events escalate as Alice begins to demand more and more of her relationship with Michel. Unexpected ramifications lie in wait.

Through the eyes of two couples, the production explores friendship, suspicion, deceit and, ultimately, The Truth.

Having experienced monumental success with The Father, The Mother and The Truth at Theatre Royal Bath and subsequent London runs, Zeller’s plays have proven huge hits with London audiences this year. In this new version of the play by Christopher Hampton, The Truth promises to be equally lauded.
