Prolific British playwright JB Priestley’s hilarious but hearty comedy The Roundabout receives its first major revival at the Park Theatre.

Author of classic stage shows such as An Inspector Calls, The Roundabout centres on the story of the Kettlewell family, a remarkably dysfunctional unit.

Consisting of a charming old Etonian with a faltering business portfolio, his now-communist returning daughter Pamela, his ex-wife and his mistress, their visits over a weekend lend themselves to Priestley’s exploration of a shifting social order.

Funny, touching and sharply perceptive in its examination of 1930s England, this is a delightful comedy.
