British Youth Opera perform Jonathan Dove’s opera set in a fairytale world of singing statues and aria-performing apples, The Little Green Swallow.

Composed in 1994, and based on a tale by Turandot writer Carlo Gozzi, The Little Green Swallow was Dove’s first full-length opera.

Set 18 years after the events of The Love Of Three Oranges, to which it is the sequel, it tells a story featuring a jester-turned-sausage-seller, royal twins and a title character that is not what it seems.

Children younger than five years old will not be admitted.
