Julie Walters leads the cast of The Last Of The Haussmans, a witty and touching new play examining the fate of the revolutionary generation.

The Last Of The Haussmans follows high society drop out Judy Haussman, who, anarchic and feisty but growing older, clings to the spirit of the 1960s Ashrams while holding court in her run down Devonshire Art Deco home.

Following an operation, her wayward offspring Nick and Libby join her on the coast, along with sharp-eyed granddaughter Summer, local doctor Peter and Daniel, a troubled teen who uses the family’s dilapidated swimming pool. Together, the group shares a hot summer as they alternately cling to and flee this louche and chaotic world of day-long drinking, infatuations, long-held resentments, free love and failure.

Walters, who leads the cast of The Last Of The Haussmans, is better known for her screen roles than her stage appearances, having won the heart of the nation in films including the Harry Potter series, Calendar Girls and Billy Elliot, and television shows such as Dinnerladies, GBH and Acorn Antiques.
