As he peruses The Times obituaries, famous writer Sir Cecil Warburton makes a discovery that has him whistling in the bath! At last, the dull Reggie Townsend has died widowing the only woman that Cecil truly loved… and lost. With only one thing on his mind – matrimony – he arranges to meet Evelyn under the same tree in his garden where he kissed her 50 years earlier, and then the fun really begins.

A distinguished cast is led by award winning actress Rosemary Leach, renowned for both stage work (85 Charing Cross Road, The Shell Seekers) and an extensive TV career (The Charmer, Life Begins at Forty, Cider with Rosie), and Francis Matthews whose leading TV roles include Paul Temple to, more recently, Dr Always in Heartbeat and The Royal.

Touching, funny and poignant, this sparkling production promises an enthralling evening’s entertainment.
