Jamie Lloyd directs Gemma Chan in this 50th anniversary staging of Harold Pinter’s seminal play The Homecoming.

The Humans star plays Ruth, a woman who travels from America with her professor husband to visit his family in London sparking power struggles, one-upmanship and sexual tension.

One of Pinter’s most controversial pieces, The Homecoming will see Chan joined by an all-star cast that includes Gary Kemp, Ron Cook, Keith Allen, John Simm and John Macmillan.

Chan returns to the stage following 2014’s Yellow Face at the Park and National Theatre. Life On Mars star Simm, who was recently seen in the NT’s Three Days In The Country, and stage regular Ron Cook reunite with Lloyd following roles in Lloyd’s previous Trafalgar Transformed seasons, appearing in The Hothouse and The Ruling Class respectively.

A leading member of Spandau Ballet, Kemp’s credits include the Hampstead Theatre’s The Rubenstein Kiss, Trainspotting star Allen most recently appeared in the Lyric Hammersmith’s Comedians and Macmillian’s credits include Children’s Children at the Almeida Theatre.
