Daniel Radcliffe plays the title role in Michael Grandage’s revival of The Cripple Of Inishmaan, the tale of a young man desperate to break away from the tedium of daily life.

Set on the remote island of Inishmaan off the west coast of Ireland, Martin McDonagh’s dark comedy charts the story of Cripple Billy, who, on hearing about the Hollywood film being made on the neighbouring island of Inishmore, yearns to trade his monotonous life for a part in the film.

Best known for his on screen roles in The Woman In Black and Harry Potter films, The Cripple Of Inishmaan marks Radcliffe’s return to the stage for the first time since his performance in 2007’s Equus at the Gielgud theatre.

The Cripple Of Inishmaan is playing as part of the newly formed Michael Grandage Company’s first season, which also sees Simon Russell Beale take to the stage in Privates On Parade, Judi Dench and Ben Whishaw in Peter And Alice, Sheridan Smith and David Walliams in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Jude Law in Henry V.

The Michael Grandage Company is offering over 200 £10 tickets for every performance with over 100,000 across the entire season.
