Wiesenland was created in 2000 after Tanztheater Wuppertal Company spent 17 days in Hungary.

Wiesenland takes inspiration from Hungary’s folklore, churches, museums, the suburbs of Budapest and the horizons of Transylvania.

Premiere 5 May 2000 and performed at Sadler’s Wells as part of London 2012 Festival.
