This highly original one-man show weaves Shakespeare’s life and work together whilst also giving a rare and personal insight into Michael Pennington’s own expansive and acclaimed 40-year career.

Drawing on forty years of experience with leading companies and in the West End, Pennington celebrates the rich diversity of Shakespeare’s vision, giving voice to a wealth of characters – young and old; rich and poor; comic and tragic; male and female – and demonstrates the continuing relevance of ‘Sweet William’ to our everyday lives.

Michael Pennington has played a wide variety of roles for the RSC/>, the National Theatre and the English Shakespeare Company, which he co-founded in 1986 and has toured the world three times.
