Returning to the Royal Albert Hall following a successful visit in 2008, Strictly Gershwin is Derek Deane’s celebration of one of the finest composers of all time, featuring the 67 dancers of English National Ballet and an array of special guests.

This revised production promises to be a glitzy, glamourous journey through dance, featuring ballet, tap and ballroom set to the timeless music of Gershwin, played by a 50 piece jazz orchestra.

Among the musical numbers are Gershwin’s Rhapsody In Blue, An American In Paris, Summertime, Shall We Dance, The Man I Love, Someone To Watch Over Me and ‘S Wonderful.

Choreographer Deane is a former Royal Ballet Principal Dancer and ex-Artistic Director of English National Ballet. He has worked all over the world and previously staged Swan Lake and Romeo And Juliet for the Royal Albert Hall.

Strictly Gershwin also features special guest Maria Friedman, a multi-Laurence Olivier Award-winner whose West End credits include Chicago, Passion, Lady In The Dark, Ragtime and By Special Arrangement. She previously appeared at the Royal Albert Hall in a special concert production of The King And I.
