In this show of two parts, Donald tells tales of his early life in a talented, eccentric and dysfunctional Newcastle family, details the birth of the national treasure that is Viz, with a series of hilarious anecdotes charting the comic’s rise from 150 copies sold in a Gosforth pub in 1979 to 1.25 million flying out of Britain’s newsagents by the end of the 1980s.
