Showstopper! is entirely improvised: a brand new musical is created at every performance. Stuck for ideas, a writer takes audience suggestions for a title, storyline and musical style. The troupe of actors – the Showstoppers – then create a musical from scratch based around that structure.

Showstopper! has been a hit on the Edinburgh Fringe Festival every since its first appearance in 2008, and has recreated that success in a number of West End runs.
