Love blossoms amidst the backdrop of a savagely cruel obsession in the world premiere of Savage, a new play written and directed by Claudio Macor.

In Copenhagen, 1940, the Nazi occupation of Denmark has seemingly changed little, with Zack and Nikolai enjoying their usual hedonistic lifestyle in the paradise of cabaret.

But dangerously fixated Doctor Carl Peter Vaernet discovers what he believes to be “the cure for homosexuality”, and sets about experimenting more and more brutally to great reception from the Nazi regime. Can a heart-breaking romance still find a way to flourish under his gaze?

Based on a shocking true story, Savage is a tale of love in the most savage of circumstances.
