A contemporary adaptation of Shakespeare's romantic tragedy, in which the themes of the day seem as relevant in today's world as they did in the 16th century. Read More >

Verona 1595. Knife-crime, gang violence, stabbings, social disorder, celebrity politicians, disaffected youth, teenage suicide… and love.

Shakespeare’s famous play is given a modern setting by Kidbrooke School in this energetic, fast-moving and physical production. Using dance, music and multi-media, the familiar themes of Romeo And Juliet are made relevant to young people today.

Kidbrooke School is known for its highly successful drama department led by professional actor Lucy Cuthbertson, who directs Romeo And Juliet. The school’s work has previously been seen at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the National Theatre.

Romeo And Juliet is suitable for ages 13+
