In a world where anything can be indulged in and everything is permissible, Martin, an ex-rent boy drug-dealing lawyer, offers to share his tales of misfortune with Stefan, a jaded hack writer on a junket. Together they engage in a complicated exchange of stories, weaving through movies, sex, celebrity and genocide in the hope that they will transform both themselves and, possibly, the world.
