Phoenix Dance Theatre has an international reputation for presenting inspiring, entertaining contemporary dance, performed by a formidable group of dancers hand-picked from around the world.

This sophisticated programme features both classic modern dance by eminent American choreographer José Limón and the latest stylish offerings from the company’s Artistic Director Javier De Frutos.

Limón was a crucial figure in the development of modern dance whose landmark work is rarely seen in the UK. De Frutos is celebrated for his evocative and highly charged choreography, for his work with contemporary dance companies and for musical theatre, including Laurence Olivier Award-winning choreography for the West End’s Cabaret.

The Phoenix Dance Theatre performance is suitable for theatregoers aged 11 and older, and may contain images of nudity and conflict.
