Idiot double act and handsome broadcasters Ray Peacock & Ed Gamble (aka Peacock & Gamble) are resurrecting the cult Peacock & Gamble Podcast for a one off live go at it in the Soho Theatre. The night will feature special guests, spontaneous stupid talking and one of them will probably panic and say something borderline unethical.
During it’s time spoiling the internet, the Peacock & Gamble Podcast flirted with the top of the itunes chart without ever actually kissing it, it was named Podcast of The Week in The Times, and made it into The Guardian’s Top Ten Comedy Podcasts. It was nominated for a Chortle Award in 2011 and only lost because of cheating (probably). The success of the podcast meant they got to have a go at presenting proper radio (BBC Radio 4 Extra) as well as a forthcoming Radio 4 show “Emergency Broadcast”. The podcast was also featured as part of the BA inflight entertainment but we heard the person responsible was made redundant.
Regular sections such as “Complaint Letters”, “Ray Says A Food” & “Ed’s Film Pitches” may well feature, but never fear if you’ve not heard it before. It’ll be a little bit like listening to two children talk at a playgroup – it makes very little sense, but it is sweet in a way. So like that, but you pay for it. You can revise for the night by searching “Peacock & Gamble” on iTunes
