How do we remember in the digital age?

In this visually arresting new work, Sadler’s Wells New Wave Associate Alexander Whitley and digital artist Memo Akten join forces at the cutting edge of dance and motion-responsive technology in this new production presented in partnership with Platform Theatre at Central Saint Martins.

Opening up questions about learning and memory in relation to artificial intelligence, Pattern Recognition furthers a line of enquiry drawing on Whitley’s interests in philosophy, technology and design which seeks to redefine the boundaries between dance and other art forms.

A former Choreographic Affiliate of The Royal Ballet and recently commissioned by Rambert, BalletBoyz and Birmingham Royal Ballet, Whitley has developed a rapidly-growing reputation for ambitious and intricately-crafted work.

Please note this event takes place at the Platform Theatre, Central Saint Martins, Handyside St, N1C 4AA.
