A sell-out at the 2008 Edinburgh Festival, Paperweight is the absurd story of two men trapped in mindless office jobs. Chaos descends as the pressures of work and the ever present threat of the telephone ringing increases.

Paperweight is an (almost) silent comedy of escalating intensity and surprising tenderness. Constant surprises keep the audience questioning the boundary between the accidental, the choreographed and the rehearsed in a highly theatrical, unpredictable and meticulously realised world.

Paperweight is created by Top Of The World, a theatre company comprising Tom Frankland, Sebastien Lawson and Jamie Wood. Their collaboration draws on elements of surreal humour, visual poetry and arresting storytelling to present a bold and uncompromising theatrical experience.

This production at the Camden People's Theatre is the first opportunity for London audiences to see Paperweight, which won a Scotsman Fringe First Award for innovation.
