Obama On My Mind is a new musical comedy inspired by and in celebration of the inauguration of Barack Obama as US President.

The musical is written by American crime-writer and film-maker Teddy Hayes, who came to England 13 years ago looking for a change from the American way of life and politics. Seeing the Obama campaign unfold from the UK he became involved in canvassing overseas Americans to vote and saw the presidential election from a new perspective. Excited by the prospect of ‘his man’ winning and a new page in American life, Hayes started writing…

The result is Obama On My Mind, a politicaly inspired romp with a soundtrack that integrates pop, gospel, jazz and soft rock to reflect the loyal, obsessive and plain peculiar personalities of the people in a small Obama campaign office who are striving to get their man into the White House.
