Identified by the Guardian as ‘one to watch’, Sasha Siem has been making waves in British music. Her compositions cross a range of genres, from jazz and folk to classical and experimental, and combine raw and playful lyrics with intricately crafted accompaniments. In Most Of The Boys, Siem showcases songs from her highly anticipated debut album, Knots and do-nots. Its unique soundworld is influenced as much by classical composers György Kurtág and Claude Vivier as by pioneering singer-songwriters Tom Waits, Björk and Joanna Newsom.

Siem studied music at the University of Cambridge and Harvard University. By her early twenties, she had written for the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Opera House, Rambert Dance Company, Opera North and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2010, she was one of the youngest people ever to win a prestigious British Composer Award. Most Of The Boys provides an opportunity to experience the work of this exciting young composer in the intimate setting of the Linbury Studio Theatre.
