Caroline Horton returns to the Bush theatre with a funny and poignant play about her experience of anorexia nervosa.

Telling the tale of three friends – Josephine, Boris and Sistahl – who are catapulted from the depths of despair to the heights of hope as they struggle to tell the story of Josephine’s anorexia, Mess offers an authentic insight into the condition and challenges the misconceptions surrounding it.

Mess features performances by Australian actress Emily Goddard and musician Seirol Davies, alongside Horton, and is presented in association with Beat, the UK’s leading charity supporting people with eating disorders.

The writer and performer’s solo show You’re Not Like The Other Girls Chrissy, which played at the Bush in 2012, was nominated for the Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre accolade at the Olivier Awards with MasterCard earlier this year.

This production is suitable for children aged 13 and older.
